CANVA has templates for absolutely everything and there is a range of great free images, designs, fonts and graphics you can use as well as uploading your own logos and images.
Here's a Step by Step guide to consider when designing from scratch in Canva.
- Choose your dimensions - you can see in the images below all artwork for badges needs to have a bleed so that the edge of your badge is not left white. You can see more detail on badge bleeds here and below.
- Choose your background colours or photo - making sure there's enough to cover the bleed.
- Add your elements - it might be your logo, your message, a single word. Hint: Keep It Simple.
- Choose the right font - is it in line with your brand? Or if your badge is for fun - do you like the font you have chosen? Is it easy to read, does your message stand out?
